Body of Missing Lake Elsinore Teen Found in Tesla Trunk

Authorities have confirmed the identity of a body found in the trunk of a Tesla Model Y as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas of Lake Elsinore, who had been reported missing since April 2024, when she was 13.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office said Rivas’ remains were discovered inside a bag after the Tesla was towed from a Hollywood street, where it had been parked for an extended period of time.

The vehicle is registered to singer-songwriter David Anthony Burke, or D4VD, who is currently on tour. A representative for Burke said he is cooperating fully with investigators.

Officials said the cause of death is still under investigation, and it remains unclear how Rivas ended up in the vehicle.

Police emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and have not released any details about possible suspects or connections between the victim and the vehicle’s owner.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the case to come forward.
