Kaiser Permanente Mobile Health Clinic Brings Care to Coachella
Residents in Coachella now have easier access to medical care with the launch of a fully equipped mobile health vehicle operated by Kaiser Permanente. The unit is stationed every Tuesday at Bagdouma Park from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., delivering a wide range of health services directly to the community.
The mobile clinic provides treatments for common conditions such as colds, seasonal allergies, and asthma, as well as ongoing care for chronic illnesses like diabetes and hypertension. It is designed to ease the burden for residents who may face challenges getting appointments or traveling to medical offices.
“A mobile vehicle that comes to an area where you can actually access care a lot easier is very convenient for members,” a Kaiser Permanente representative explained. “A lot of times when they call to schedule appointments, there aren’t enough to go around, so we’re here to give that extra care. For individuals who find it hard to get to their medical office, this unit makes it possible to get care right here.”
Beyond medical treatment, the mobile health clinic also offers nutritional counseling, lab work, vision testing, and women’s wellness services. Kaiser Permanente hopes that by making these services more accessible, they can improve overall community health in Coachella and surrounding areas.
