Pedestrian Killed in Palm Springs Traffic Collision

A Palm Desert man died Monday evening after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of San Rafael Drive and Avenida Caballeros in Palm Springs.

Police responded to the collision around 8:55 PM on September 16.
First reposnders arrived on the scene to find 29-year-old Raymond Olguin Jr suffering from major injuries. Fire department personnel performed CPR, but Olguin ultimately died from his injuries at the scene.

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Police say drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash.
