Golden Boy Boxing Tonight at Fantasy Springs Promises to Entertain
INDIO, Calif. — The stage is set at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino, where Golden Boy Boxing will bring a packed night of action to the Coachella Valley tonight. With a stacked card and local stars in the spotlight, fans are gearing up for what promises to be one of the most exciting boxing nights of the year.
The main event will feature undefeated champion Oscar “El Pupilo” Collazo (9-0, 7 KOs), who will put his WBA, WBO, and Ring Magazine minimumweight titles on the line against fellow unbeaten contender Jayson “Striker” Vayson (11-0-1, 6 KOs). The fight is scheduled for 12 rounds—but according to Collazo, it may not last that long. He's hopeful to earn the knockout well before the bell rings in the final round.
Fundora vs. Kubicki: All Eyes on the Co-Main
Despite the championship stakes in the main event, the real buzz surrounds the co-main: a highly anticipated showdown between Gabriela “Sweet Poison” Fundora (16-0, 8 KOs) and Canada’s Alexas “Iron Lady” Kubicki (13-1, 2 KOs).
Fundora, who trains locally in the Coachella Valley, will defend her undisputed flyweight titles in front of a hometown crowd. At just 22 years old, she will look to extend her unbeaten record and solidify her place as one of boxing’s rising stars. Tensions between the fighters escalated during Friday’s press conference, where Kubicki confidently predicted a changing of the guard.
“I’m going to be the next, and youngest, undisputed flyweight champion,” Kubicki said. When asked if she truly believed it, she doubled down: “There is no ‘if.’ I will.”
Fundora, calm and composed, fired back with championship confidence. “Talk is cheap. That’s why I’m the champion,” she said. “My name’s on those belts, and it’s going to stay that way.”
Kubicki didn’t back down, promising to take more than just titles back to Edmonton: “I’m ready. I’m here. I’m taking her belts, taking her soul, and I’m taking this back to Canada.”
Fundora, known for her aggressive style and knockout power, had one last reminder for fans:
“When you see Fundora, what usually happens? Knockouts.”
A Sold-Out Crowd and a High-Stakes Night Ahead
Tonight’s event is officially sold out, with fans eager to see if the main event will end in a knockout and whether the flyweight belts will stay in the Coachella Valley—or head north to Canada. Either way, the energy inside Fantasy Springs is expected to be electric from the opening bell.
