Deputies Search for Suspect in Deadly Coachella Shooting
Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a suspect following a deadly shooting Sunday afternoon in Coachella.
Deputies from the Thermal Sheriff's Station responded shortly before noon to reports of an assault with a weapon near Calle Limon and Genoa Street. When they arrived, they found an adult male suffering from a possible gunshot wound.
The victim has been identified as 51-year-old Enrique Arrieta of Coachella. Despite life-saving efforts, he did not survive.
Investigators with the Central Homicide Unit are now working to identify the suspect. No arrests have been made.
Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact Investigator Adams at the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office by calling (951) 955–2777 or Investigator A. Galsper with the Thermal Station at (760) 863–8990.
