CSUSB Palm Desert Launches Gerald R. Ford Presidential Fellows Program
Cal State San Bernardino’s Palm Desert campus is making history as the first university in California to introduce a Gerald R. Ford Presidential Fellows Program.
The initiative will provide students with leadership training, mentorship, and opportunities for civic engagement and public service throughout the Coachella Valley. Open to all majors, the program looks for students with integrity, bipartisan cooperation and ethical leadership.
With the launch, the Palm Desert campus joins a small network of universities in Michigan and Tennessee that host similar programs.
Ford, who lived in Rancho Mirage after leaving the White House, remains a strong symbol of service and civic responsibility in the region.
