Shadow Hills High Choir to Perform On Stage with Rock Legends Foreigner This Weekend

It’s not every day that high school students get to share the stage with rock legends. But this Saturday, the Shadow Hills High School choir will do just that—performing live with iconic '70s rock band Foreigner at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino.

The opportunity has brought a wave of excitement to the campus, especially among the choir students, many of whom will be performing in front of the largest crowd of their lives.

“For a lot of us, this is a dream come true,” said senior Emma Aguilar, who admits she didn’t know much about Foreigner at first—but quickly recognized the song they’ll be performing. “We love that song because we’ve heard it in so many movies and places. To sing it on stage with the actual band? It’s surreal.”

The students have been hard at work rehearsing the classic hit and are feeling both the pressure and the thrill of such a big moment. For many, it’s more than just a concert—it’s a potential glimpse into their future.

“I feel like this will really be an eye-opening experience,” said one student, noting that while the choir has performed before, nothing compares to this scale. “We’ll really see if this is what we want to pursue in life.”

In addition to the unforgettable performance, Foreigner is donating $500 to the Shadow Hills choir program—money that will help fund concert attire and music materials for future performances.

Choir director and school staff are incredibly proud of their students, emphasizing how unique and inspiring the event is for young musicians.
