Two Dead in Shooting at Texas Immigration Detention Facility

Two people were killed and a third injured in a shooting at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Texas, according to federal officials.

All three victims were ICE detainees at the facility. The injured individual was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. No ICE officers were harmed during the incident.

The suspected gunman died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem confirmed.

Federal investigators have not yet determined a motive for the shooting. Officials cautioned that the investigation remains in its early stages as authorities continue gathering information about the incident.
