Palm Springs Breaks Ground on Major Pickleball Court Expansion

Palm Springs officials will hold a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday at 11 a.m. for a major expansion of pickleball courts at Demuth Park, located at 4365 Mesquite Avenue.

Mayor Ron deHarte will attend alongside City Council members and Parks and Recreation Commission representatives to officially launch the Demuth Park Pickleball Courts Expansion Project.

The project will add 22 new courts to the existing facility, including one tournament-grade court. Additional improvements include enhanced lighting, new sidewalks, shade structures, and new trees for player and spectator comfort.

During construction, the city has arranged for 12 temporary courts near College of the Desert's satellite campus on South Hermosa Drive, close to East Baristo Road. These temporary facilities are currently open for community use.
