William Shatner Assures Fans He’s Fine After Health Scare, Warns Against Rumors
William Shatner is reassuring fans that he’s doing just fine following reports of a health scare this week.
The 94-year-old “Star Trek” legend was the subject of concern after TMZ reported that he had been rushed to the hospital in Los Angeles following what was described as a medical emergency. According to his agent, Harry Gold, Shatner had experienced a brief issue with his blood sugar and was checked out by medical professionals.
On Thursday, Shatner posted on Instagram to clear the air. “I over indulged,” he wrote, thanking fans for their concern while making it clear he’s perfectly fine. He also poked fun at the media attention, adding, “Don’t trust tabloids or AI,” with a wink emoji.
The actor followed up with humor, sharing a photo of himself dressed as Mark Twain with the caption, “Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated,” a nod to Twain’s famous quip after a false report of his death in 1897.
Shatner, whose career has spanned decades on screen and stage, has often spoken about living with vitality well into his 90s. His latest message served as both reassurance to his fans and a reminder to be cautious about believing rumors.
