Ronald McDonald House Gala in Rancho Mirage supports Coachella Valley families
The Ronald McDonald House hosted its ninth annual A Few Good Men and Women Gala in Rancho Mirage, celebrating community leaders who have made a significant impact through generosity and leadership. The event took place at the Westin Rancho Mirage, just off Dinah Shore Drive, and served as the nonprofit’s largest fundraiser of the year.
Organizers highlighted that funds raised during the evening remain local, supporting children and families across the Coachella Valley and Inland Empire. “We raise money here tonight, it stays with Coachella Valley children and Inland Empire children,” one representative said, noting that none of the proceeds are directed to McDonald’s corporate operations or other Ronald McDonald Houses.
The Inland Empire Ronald McDonald House, located near Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital, provides a critical resource for families in the region. Nearly half of the families who stay there come from the Coachella Valley, as the area does not currently have its own children’s hospital or Ronald McDonald House.
For families facing medical emergencies, having a child treated in Loma Linda can be overwhelming, but the Ronald McDonald House offers housing, meals, and support just minutes away from the hospital. Events like the Rancho Mirage gala ensure that these services remain available year-round, helping families focus on what matters most: the health of their children.
