Crypto Fitz: Which coins should beginners invest in?

I’m Jimi Fitz, also known as Crypto Fitz, and one of my favorite things to do is get out into the community and answer real questions about Bitcoin and crypto.

This time, Fitz tackled the question: How do we know what coins to invest in?

“Well, once again, I take you right back to the beginning,” Fitz said. “Get some Bitcoin. Get off of zero. There’s Bitcoin, and then there’s everything else. Don’t get distracted by all these other coins. If you’re new to the space, start with digital gold, start with the hedge against inflation, and start with what Wall Street and the asset managers are behind now. Get what the administration is backing. Get some Bitcoin.”

Fitz advised beginners to check out Coinbase.com, which he called a great place to learn. The exchange offers tutorials on Bitcoin, Ethereum, and blockchain basics—and even rewards users with small amounts of Bitcoin for completing courses.

“Stay with the big, solid names at the beginning,” Fitz said. “Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Cardano, Solana, and Hedera HBAR. Then, if you want to play around like at a casino, that’s up to you. But if you’re looking to secure your financial future, start with the McDaddy—Bitcoin.”
