College of the Desert Hosts Fall Transfer Fair with Record Student Turnout
College of the Desert welcomed hundreds of students today for its 2025 Fall Transfer Fair, giving them a chance to explore their next steps in higher education.
The event featured nearly 40 representatives from University of California campuses, California State Universities, private colleges, and trade schools. Students were able to meet directly with admissions experts, ask questions, and gather resources to help plan their transfer journeys.
Organizers say this year’s fair set a new record for participation. “This is probably the most attended event in our history. We have probably over 300 students stop by today already. So that’s huge,” one organizer shared. “I’m very happy that students were able to take advantage of this opportunity to come and learn about their future schools.”
The transfer fair, free and open to all COD students, is designed to connect them with the tools and guidance needed to make informed decisions about continuing their education. Organizers emphasized that events like this provide valuable pathways for students to explore their academic futures and career opportunities.
