Man Critically Injured in Rancho Mirage Shooting, Investigation Underway

A shooting in Rancho Mirage early Saturday morning has left one man in critical condition.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department says deputies responded just before 1 a.m. to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon near Bob Hope Drive and Country Club. According to Sergeant Wendy Brito-Gonzalez, a caller told authorities the driver of a vehicle had been shot at the location.

The victim, whose identity has not been released, was transported to the hospital by paramedics and remains in critical condition.

No arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation is ongoing. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
