Faith Leaders Hold Prayer Vigil Outside Indiana ICE Facility

In Indiana, members of the Christian faith community gathered outside an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility for a prayer vigil, calling for compassion and reform in the nation’s immigration system.

Participants marched in silence with their heads bowed, praying for guidance on immigration enforcement across the United States. Standing in the grass outside the correctional facility in Miami, Indiana, they offered prayers against what they described as unjust and oppressive actions by the Trump administration toward immigrants.

Many attendees wore red as a symbol of solidarity with immigrants they believe are suffering inside ICE facilities across the country. Organizers say the vigil was both a call for justice and a show of support for families impacted by immigration detention.

The gathering is part of a broader faith-based movement across the nation, where congregations and religious leaders continue to speak out on immigration policies they say do not reflect their values of compassion, dignity, and care for vulnerable communities.
