Indio Police Conducting Training Exercise Today

The Indio Police Department is giving a heads up to the community about a training exercise being conducted this morning.

At around 9:30 a.m., the department posted an alert on social media telling the public there will be a heavy police and SWAT presence in the area of 51100 Jackson Street.

The nature of the training was not disclosed, only that it was purely an exercise.

That is expected to last until around noon Thursday.
