How to research and choose the right coin

I’m Jimi Fitz, also known as Crypto Fitz, and one of my favorite things to do is get out into the community and answer real questions about Bitcoin and crypto.

This time, Fitz sat down with Johnny from Cornisa, who asked: How can I look for the right coin to invest in—and what’s the best way to do research?

Fitz didn’t hesitate to recommend Bitcoin as the first step. “I think that’s the first step. If you don’t own any crypto, my first recommendation—and once again, don’t let the price scare you. As we’re talking here, it’s $122,000 for one Bitcoin. But you don’t have to buy one Bitcoin,” he explained.

Instead, Fitz emphasized that Bitcoin is divisible. “There are 100 million Satoshis in a Bitcoin. You can buy $10 worth, $20 worth, $50, $100—whatever you can do every week or every month. You buy it, you forget about it. You don’t brag about what you have, and you accumulate this digital gold and hedge against inflation to protect the value of the hard work that you’ve put in.”

Johnny followed up by asking whether the real focus should be on a coin’s utility. Fitz agreed. “Yes, that’s a smart way. You need to know what you’re investing in and you want to invest in tokens that have utility. A lot of these tokens generate a lot of revenue. They provide special services. But this is not Vegas—it’s not putting number 24 on the roulette wheel or a tip at the racetrack. This is why we say, do a little homework.”

As for how to get started, Fitz suggested watching the documentary “God Bless Bitcoin” and reading the Bitcoin white paper before making any purchases.
