Travis Barker Hosts Annual "Run Travis Run" 5K in Coachella Valley

Travis Barker, best known as the powerhouse drummer for Blink-182, brought his annual Run Travis Run 5K event to the Coachella Valley this past Sunday.

Fans and fitness lovers gathered at Palm Desert’s scenic Civic Center Park to join the early morning run, which kicked off at 8:30 AM.

The event is more than just a run — it's about building community. “It’s just a way to bring like-minded people together,” Barker shared from the stage. “To motivate people to get outside, walk or run for a few hours.” Attendees not only got a chance to exercise but also to connect with others in a laid-back, positive atmosphere.

The timing of the event wasn’t accidental. Barker and Blink-182 were in town for back-to-back shows at Acrisure Arena on Saturday and Sunday, part of the venue’s Magnificent Seven concert series. Fans who saw the band perform had another opportunity to see Barker in a totally different setting — this time in sneakers, not behind the drum kit.
