Travis Kelce Reacts to Taylor Swift’s Song ‘Wood,’ Said to Celebrate His Manhood
Jason Kelce didn’t hold back when it came to asking the question Swifties have been wondering: What does Travis Kelce really think of Taylor Swift’s new song “Wood”?
In the latest episode of their podcast “New Heights,” the retired Philadelphia Eagles player pressed his younger brother about the track, which fans believe is an intimate nod to the Kansas City Chiefs star. The brothers were discussing Swift’s new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” when Jason brought up the song directly.
“It’s a great song,” Travis said casually, prompting Jason to follow up with a more pointed question: “Do you feel cocky about the song ‘Wood’?”
Travis initially sidestepped the topic, replying, “Any song that she references me in…” before Jason cut him off, insisting, “That’s not just any song. This is a very specific you.”
Feigning confusion, Travis replied, “I love that girl, so what do you mean?” His older brother doubled down, clarifying that the song’s “appendage” reference was, as he put it, “a very specific thing.”
Travis continued to play along, suggesting Jason was misinterpreting the lyrics. Jason jokingly added that Swift’s “Redwood tree” comparison in the song was “generous.”
Despite the playful teasing, both brothers agreed the album was exceptional. “She’s done it again,” Travis said. “She’s put the world on tilt.”
Jason added that he hadn’t anticipated an album this much in a long time. He also revealed his early favorite tracks: “Opalite,” a nod to Travis’s birthstone, and “Eldest Daughter.”
