“Dinner with Patsi” Serves Up Community Support in Cathedral City

It’s become something of a local tradition in Cathedral City, every third Wednesday of the month, the drag personality Patsi hosts her “Dinner with Patsi” fundraiser at a different local restaurant.

This month, the event took place at Nick's Bistro, located inside the Date Palm Country Club, where guests enjoyed Italian cuisine and Mediterranean specialties all while supporting a good cause.

Patsi’s mission is simple: raise funds for nonprofits that make a difference in Cathedral City while also supporting local restaurants.

“If we don’t take care of our children and our seniors, then we’re not doing things right,” Patsi said.

This month’s beneficiary is the Cathedral City High School Performing Arts program. Proceeds from the evening will help fund props, uniforms, instruments, and other resources for the school’s theater, choir, and band students.

Patsi also used the event to highlight Patsi’s Promise, a campaign to raise funds for a new van for the Boys & Girls Club of Cathedral City. Organizers say they’re just $6,000 away from their goal, with two sponsorship spots left at $3,000 each.

The dinner runs until 8 p.m., giving residents a chance to enjoy great food, entertainment, and an opportunity to give back to the community.
