HBO Max Raises Prices Across All Subscription Plans
HBO Max has announced price increases across all three of its subscription tiers, marking the latest streaming service to raise rates.
The Basic with Ads plan will increase by $1 per month or $10 for annual subscriptions. The Standard plan will see a $1.50 monthly increase or $15 more annually. Premium subscribers will pay an additional $2 per month or $20 per year.
The new pricing takes effect immediately for new customers signing up for the service. Existing subscribers on monthly plans will receive 30 days' notice before the changes apply to their accounts, with price increases beginning on or after November 20th at their next billing date.
Current annual subscribers will continue at their existing rates until their subscription comes up for renewal, at which point they will also receive 30 days' advance notice of the price change.
The company has not disclosed reasons for the price adjustments.
