Perez Art District Art Walk invites community to explore Coachella Valley’s creative heart

Art has the power to move people in ways words can’t, and nowhere is that more evident than at the Perez Art District Art Walk — a monthly celebration of creativity that connects artists and the community.

On the fourth Friday of each month, a collection of galleries and studios along Perez Road comes alive as dozens of local artists open their doors to visitors. The event, which runs from September through May, is free to the public and showcases more than 50 artists across a range of mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media.

“It’s an eye-opener to see how many artists there are here and to see their work,” said one visitor during the walk. The event not only spotlights the region’s talent but also allows people to step inside the studios where the art is created.

“As artists, we don’t always get to be exposed to people or let them see our process,” explained painter and sculptor Ann Bedrick, who calls the Perez Art District one of the most vibrant art hubs in the Coachella Valley. “You can meet the artist here and get something truly original.”

The Art Walk continues to draw collectors, art lovers, and newcomers alike — all eager to experience the Valley’s creative pulse. With live art demonstrations, free admission, and direct access to local artists, it’s become one of the desert’s most unique cultural gatherings.
