Alaska Airlines Restores Operations After Technology Outage
Alaska Airlines resumed normal operations Friday morning following a technology outage that grounded flights systemwide for nearly three hours Thursday evening.
The airline requested a ground stop at all airports on Thursday due to the technical disruption. The stoppage lasted approximately three hours before operations were cleared to resume.
Passengers scheduled to fly Alaska Airlines on Friday are advised to verify their flight status before departing for the airport. At Palm Springs International Airport, one Alaska Airlines flight to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport was delayed Friday morning, with departure time pushed from 9:00 a.m. to 9:37 a.m. at the time of writing this article.
