DAP Health Honors Día de los Muertos with Community Altars Across the Valley

With Día de los Muertos approaching on Nov. 1, DAP Health is honoring the Mexican tradition by creating three community altars, or ofrendas, across the Coachella Valley.

The colorful displays, designed to celebrate and remember loved ones who have passed away, will be featured at Sunnylands in Rancho Mirage, the Palm Springs Art Museum, and DAP Health’s Sunrise Campus in Palm Springs.

Each altar includes flowers, candles, photographs, and other symbolic items inviting community members to reflect and celebrate life. DAP Health leaders say the installations highlight how collective healing and cultural traditions strengthen community resilience.

Visitors are invited to leave messages or names of loved ones on butterfly notes through Nov. 3.
