Palm Springs International Airport to Host Overnight Law Enforcement Training Exercise

Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) is notifying travelers and local residents about a planned law enforcement training exercise taking place on airport grounds this evening.

According to airport officials, the drill will involve multiple law enforcement and emergency response agencies working together to practice emergency preparedness and improve interagency coordination.

PSP officials are stressing that the event is strictly a training exercise, not an active emergency. The public may notice increased police activity or hear unusual sounds during the operation, but there is no threat to safety.

“This is only an exercise — there’s no cause for concern,” the airport said in a statement released earlier today.

The training is part of ongoing efforts to ensure that airport personnel and first responders remain ready for a wide range of potential emergency scenarios. Officials say the exercise should conclude early Friday morning, and regular airport operations will not be affected.

Residents and travelers are encouraged to remain calm if they see law enforcement activity around the airport during the evening hours.
