Palm Springs Pride Festivities Begin with Day of the Queen and Picnic on Palm Canyon
Palm Springs Pride festivities officially begin tonight as thousands of people from across the Coachella Valley and beyond gather downtown to celebrate.
Tonight’s event, Day of the Queen, takes place in the Arenas District beginning at 5 p.m. The evening promises lively performances, colorful costumes, and plenty of celebration as the city marks the start of Pride weekend.
The celebration continues Friday with Picnic on Palm Canyon, also beginning at 5 p.m. and running until 9 p.m. Crews have been busy setting up for the event, including installing a Ferris wheel that will add even more excitement to the downtown scene.
Visitors can expect street vendors, live music, dancing, and plenty of entertainment as Pride weekend ramps up. These events lead into the main festivities, including Sunday’s Pride Parade, which draws thousands of spectators each year to downtown Palm Springs.
It’s shaping up to be a vibrant weekend of celebration, inclusion, and community pride across the city.
