Second Arrest Made in Indio Burglary and Vandalism Spree

Indio police arrested a second suspect Wednesday in connection with a series of burglaries and vandalism incidents targeting local businesses over recent weeks.

Adrian Padilla, 44, was taken into custody by Indio Police Department's Street Crimes Unit with assistance from the Riverside County Gang Impact Team. He was booked into the John Benoit Detention Center on multiple felony charges and is scheduled to appear at the Larson Justice Center on Friday, November 7th for formal charging.

The arrest comes after police took 38-year-old Jacob Garcia into custody on October 29th in connection with the same crime series.

Several Indio businesses were victimized in the incidents, including Fresh Juice Bar, CV BBQ, and Indio Florist. All three establishments were broken into during the crime spree.

According to Indio PD, detectives continue to investigate and are working to locate at least one additional suspect connected to the cases.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incidents to contact the Indio Police Department at (760) 391-4057 or Valley Crime Stoppers at (760) 341-STOP to remain anonymous.
