Six Community Leaders Honored at Spirit of Philanthropy Luncheon in Rancho Mirage

In celebration of National Philanthropy Day on Nov. 15, six local leaders were honored today at the Spirit of Philanthropy Luncheon held at the Agua Caliente Resort in Rancho Mirage. The event recognized individuals and organizations whose work has strengthened communities across the Coachella Valley.

This year’s honorees were Angie Gerber, Donna Nixon, Rachel Druten, Heidi Maldoon, Dior Halum, and the Roost Lounge and Roost Foundation. Organizers highlighted their generosity, volunteer contributions, and longstanding dedication to community service.

The event is an opportunity to spotlight founders, volunteers, and philanthropists making a difference year-round. They encouraged residents to watch for the spring nomination period to honor additional changemakers in the coming year.
