Iowa Student Honored for Starting Daily Dance Parties That Spread Joy and Kindness
A young student in Oskaloosa, Iowa, is being celebrated for turning an ordinary school day into something extraordinary. Fallon Cronin was chosen as this month’s Cops for Kind Kids honoree after her spontaneous act of joy sparked a new tradition at her school.
According to the Oskaloosa Police Department and the school district, Fallon started an impromptu dance party with a classmate during a free period — and it quickly became a daily ritual. Her infectious energy and spirit of fun have inspired friendship and positivity throughout the school.
Each month, the Cops for Kind Kids program honors local students for their acts of kindness. Recipients typically receive a personal gift, such as a new bicycle. But Fallon decided to pay it forward — asking that her reward benefit the Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter instead.
Police say they honored her request by donating $200 worth of food, toys, and treats to the shelter.
Fallon’s story has become a heartwarming example of how small acts of joy can create a lasting impact in the community.
