Cathedral City International Hot Air Balloon Festival Returns This Weekend

The Cathedral City International Hot Air Balloon Festival will take place November 21-23, marking the 11th year of the annual event in the Coachella Valley.
The three-day festival, which began in 2015, draws over 25,000 visitors each year. Attendees can experience tethered hot air balloon rides, nighttime balloon glows, and a drone light show. Entertainment includes live musical performances, with Robin Thicke scheduled to appear this year.
Additional attractions include gourmet food trucks, an outdoor artisan market, art installations, carnival rides and games, and interactive family activities.
The festival has received recognition from U.S. News & World Report, which ranked it among the Top 14 Hot Air Balloon Festivals in the country. It has also received the Palm Award for Visitor Experience.
