Crowds Turn Out for Final Week of 'Taste & Sounds of Cathedral City'

The final week of Taste & Sounds of Cathedral City drew a crowd of more than 500 people tonight at the Cathedral City Community Amphitheater. Pablo Alsina caught up with Cathedral City Mayor Nancy Ross, who praised the event as a true community gathering, complete with food vendors, plenty of seating, and live music under the stars.

This week’s entertainment features The Dreamboats, performing 1950s and ‘60s rock-and-roll hits. Mayor Ross said the amphitheater, years in the making, has lived up to expectations and become a cherished local venue.

Weather conditions were ideal for the evening’s festivities, with temperatures in the high 60s and 70s. Rain is expected later in the week, but tonight remained clear, perfect for music, dancing, and the closing celebration of this popular community series.
