Local Heroes Honored at Peace Officer & Public Safety Awards Luncheon

Nearly 500 people attended the Peace Officer and Public Safety Awards Luncheon in Palm Desert this morning, a long-standing annual event honoring the valley’s first responders. Hosted by the Palm Desert Area Chamber of Commerce and emceed by NBC Palm Springs' digital reporter Thalia Hayden, the ceremony highlighted the exceptional service of nearly 80 local officers, firefighters and public safety officials.

Organizers say the luncheon is a way to recognize the bravery, dedication, and daily commitment of those who work to keep communities safe. From honoring acts of heroism to celebrating years of service, the event brought together public safety agencies from across the Coachella Valley.

Congratulations were extended to all of this year’s honorees, and a heartfelt thank you to the first responders for their continued service and sacrifice.
