Palm Springs Tramway Names Lance Bass as 2025 Tree Lighter
PALM SPRINGS (CNS) - Former NSYNC vocalist Lance Bass will be the
celebrity guest at next month's Palm Springs Aerial Tramway tree lighting
ceremony, officials announced today.
The annual event will be held at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 7 at One Tramway.
The festivities will begin with the city's High School Madrigal Choir
performing holiday songs, followed by Bass lighting a 45-foot-tall tree
composed of more than 4,000 LED lights, which officials said ``can be seen
throughout the Coachella Valley.''
Bass sang bass for the popular boy band in the late 1990s and early
2000s. More recently, he has appeared in a number of films, television shows
and podcasts, and created the children's book, ``Trick or Treat on Scary
Street,'' with his husband Michael Turchin.
He is a passionate LGBTQ+ advocate and philanthropist, who advocated about diabetes and is a board member of the
Environmental Media Association.
``Whether raising awareness, raising twins, or raising eyebrows on
TikTok, Bass continues to evolve with purpose, creativity and heart,''
officials said.
The event will be included with a regular Tram admission.
