Palm Springs Marks Transgender Day of Remembrance Tonight

Palm Springs residents will gather this evening at the Palm Springs Pavilion to honor transgender individuals who have died from violence and discrimination.

The ceremony begins at 5 p.m. at 401 S. Pavilion Way. Transgender Day of Remembrance is observed annually on November 20 to memorialize lives lost and acknowledge ongoing challenges facing the transgender community.

The City of Palm Springs and the Transgender Health & Wellness Center are hosting tonight's remembrance.
