Trump Signs Bill Mandating Release of Epstein Files

President Donald Trump has signed legislation directing the Justice Department to publicly release all files related to Jeffrey Epstein, he announced on Truth Social Wednesday night.

The measure passed the House of Representatives 427-to-1 on Tuesday, with the Senate approving it through unanimous consent Wednesday morning, demonstrating rare bipartisan support.

Under the new law, Attorney General Pam Bondi must release all unclassified records connected to Epstein within 30 days. However, Bondi retains authority to withhold or redact information that could interfere with ongoing federal investigations.

The legislation does not specify the method or format the Justice Department will use to release the files. The scope of documents covered by the bill and what information may ultimately be made public remains unclear pending the Justice Department's review process.
