Holiday Calendar: Eat With a Friend Day, Parfait Day, and International Hat Day Highlight November 25
It’s time for Hashtag Holiday Calendar and Pop Quiz, brought to you by Inland Empire Health Plan. Today is Tuesday, November 25, 2025, and the holiday list is packed with fun ways to celebrate.
First up is National Eat With a Friend Day, a reminder to reach out, connect, and share a meal with someone close to you. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a quick coffee break, today encourages everyone to enjoy food and friendship.
It’s also National Parfait Day. The word parfait is French for “perfect,” and the dessert certainly lives up to the name. The French version is made with custard or a meringue-style base, while the American version layers granola, nuts, yogurt, fruit, and sometimes whipped cream. No matter the style, parfaits are always a sweet way to celebrate.
Another observance on today’s calendar is International Hat Day. Not to be confused with National Hat Day on January 15, this celebration highlights everything from baseball caps to bowlers, fezzes, and fedoras. The question is: what’s on your head today? In Wisconsin, fans famously sport cheese wedges in honor of their Green Bay Packers fandom, though not everyone considers that a fashion win.
For today’s pop quiz, we asked about a hit song from 1972 that includes the lyric, “Wherever he laid his hat was his home.” The correct answer is Papa Was a Rolling Stone by The Temptations. Other options included Cats in the Cradle and Daddy Wasn’t There, but only one features that iconic line.
