Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus Brings Holiday Cheer to the Plaza Theatre With Bells, Brass and Sass
The holidays are getting extra festive in Palm Springs as the Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus returns to the iconic Plaza Theatre with an all-new holiday production, Bells, Brass and Sass. Performances take place December 19, 20, and 21 at the beautifully restored venue in the heart of downtown.
Artistic Director Jerry Soria-Faust says audiences can expect a joyous celebration packed with music, community spirit, and plenty of seasonal sparkle. The show features 115 chorus members along with a full 13-piece orchestra and guest performers including Hula Palm Springs, Nigerian dancer Hassan Shibu, and additional surprises designed to wow the crowd.
Tickets are selling fast, with more than 2,100 seats across the three-night run expected to be filled. Organizers are thrilled with the excitement surrounding their first holiday show in the Plaza Theatre since its restoration.
In the spirit of giving, the chorus is also hosting a food drive before every performance. One hour prior to each show, audience members — and even those not attending — are invited to drop off non-perishable canned and boxed food items to support the LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert and its food program.
The Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus, known for its strong social justice mission and community involvement, is encouraging donors to help sustain their work by contributing through their website at PSGMC.com. Supporters can make one-time or recurring donations to the nonprofit organization.
The chorus welcomes new singers each season and will hold its next round of auditions in January for those interested in taking the stage for their spring production, a Dolly Parton tribute titled Rhinestones and Rainbows.
Bells, Brass and Sass promises to bring unforgettable joy to the valley’s holiday celebrations while supporting vital local causes.
