Firebirds Hit the Ice for Back-to-Back Games as Acrisure Arena Rolls Out Ticket Deals

The Coachella Valley Firebirds are gearing up for a busy hockey weekend. The team travels to San Diego tonight for a matchup against the Gulls, with puck drop at 6 p.m. The Firebirds then return to the desert Saturday evening to take on the Texas Stars at Acrisure Arena, also at 6 p.m.

Fans can catch every home game on our sister station, KPSC My Firebirds TV. And with holiday shopping in full swing, Acrisure Arena is offering special savings on Firebirds tickets. Now through December 1, all home game tickets are 25 percent off as part of Black Friday and Cyber Monday promotions.

A discounted Cactus Cup Family 4-Pack — which includes tickets to a two-day Firebirds vs. Gulls showdown — is available through November 30, but only when four tickets are selected at checkout. Fans can also sign up for a Black Friday punch card pass, which promises additional exclusive offers.

In other sports news, the golf world is remembering two-time major champion Fuzzy Zoeller, who has died at the age of 74. PGA Tour leadership called him an original with a lasting impact on the game. Zoeller won the Masters in 1979 and the U.S. Open in 1984. He later faced controversy over a racially insensitive comment about Tiger Woods in 1997, for which he apologized. No cause of death was disclosed.
