Riverside’s Festival of Lights Shines with 10 Million Lights and Holiday Fun

Holiday magic is in full glow in downtown Riverside as the 33rd annual Festival of Lights continues to dazzle through the season. More than 10 million sparkling lights transform the area surrounding the historic Mission Inn Hotel & Spa into a winter wonderland, drawing visitors from across Southern California.
Fans of festive fun can enjoy a wide range of activities along the Main Street pedestrian mall, including appearances from Santa Claus, ice skating, a Ferris wheel, and a virtual Winter Wonderland experience. Holiday vendors are also set up throughout the celebration, offering themed treats and gifts perfect for seasonal shopping.
More than 400 animated displays — from beloved characters like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer to classic favorites such as the Nutcracker — add even more wonder to the illuminated landscape. The spectacle stretches from Mission Inn Avenue to Orange Street, creating a glowing backdrop for families and friends to explore.
The celebration runs nightly through January 5, giving visitors plenty of time to soak in the lights, laughter, and seasonal cheer.
