YouTube launches new ‘Recap’ feature to highlight your 2025 watch history

YouTube fans now have a new way to look back on their favorite moments of the year. The platform has launched “YouTube Recap,” a personalized year-end summary that compiles a user’s watch history from 2025.

Similar to Spotify Wrapped and Apple Music Replay, users will be able to view and share highlights that showcase their top videos, creators, and trends. YouTube says the feature gives viewers a fun way to reflect on what they enjoyed most on the platform throughout the year.

Users in North America can find their Recap beginning December 2, either right on the YouTube homepage or within the “You” tab. The experience will then roll out globally throughout the week.

Alongside the personal recaps, YouTube has also released several lists capturing the platform’s most popular content of the year — including trending topics, standout creators, top podcasts, and biggest songs.
