Coachella Hosts Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Wednesday Evening

The City of Coachella will hold its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Wednesday, December 3, at 5:30 p.m. in front of City Hall in downtown Coachella.

The free community event will feature photo opportunities with Santa and Mrs. Claus, along with holiday treats for attendees.

NBC Palm Springs reporter Pablo Alsina will provide live coverage of the ceremony during the evening broadcast, with our Alondra Campos and Antonio Marquez set to emcee the festivities.

For those unable to attend in person, the city will livestream the event on its Facebook page and YouTube channel.

The tree lighting is part of the city's "Enchanted Holiday" series. A second event, the Enchanted Holiday Parade featuring Elf and Friends, is scheduled for Thursday, December 5, at 6 p.m., also in downtown Coachella. That event will also be free and livestreamed.
