Friends of Palm Springs Library to Hold Holiday Bazaar Saturday

The Friends of the Palm Springs Library will hold its annual Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, December 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Welwood Murray Memorial Library in downtown Palm Springs.

The event will take place in the Cornelia White Community Room and feature more than 75 themed gift baskets for sale. Basket themes include home decor, cooking and baking, wine and cocktails, gardening, imported gifts from Italy, toys and games, and art and music. Many baskets contain gift cards to local restaurants and businesses along with books.

In addition to the gift baskets, the bazaar will offer gently used coffee table books and other gift items.

"This is a fun event we do each year," said Nanci Morrison, president of the Friends of the Palm Springs Library. "Our board members have fun curating the baskets and the support for the Friends by the local business community is tremendous."

All proceeds will benefit the Friends of the Palm Springs Library, which supports library operations through purchasing supplies, furniture, and equipment. The organization also sponsors the Palm Springs Speaks series and raises funds through book sales, special events, and memberships.
