House Democrats release new photos and video from Jeffrey Epstein’s private island
Newly released photos and video from Jeffrey Epstein’s private island are offering a disturbing glimpse into the late financier’s life and the locations at the center of his decades-long abuse crimes. House Democrats on the Oversight Committee made the images public Wednesday as part of their ongoing push for transparency surrounding the investigation.
The visuals — all from Little St. James Island in the U.S. Virgin Islands — show furnished bedrooms and bathrooms, lavish outdoor areas overlooking the ocean, and unusual spaces including a room containing what appears to be a dentist’s chair. Masks decorate the walls, hinting at the secrecy and disturbing activity investigators continue to examine.
One image displays a landline phone with first names on the speed-dial buttons. Committee staff said women’s names were redacted out of caution. Another image shows a blackboard in a study, with words such as “power,” “deception,” and “plots” written across it.
A Democratic committee aide told CNN the images had not previously been made public. Their release comes just days after President Donald Trump signed legislation requiring the Justice Department to make public the Epstein documents in its possession — a move expected to offer even deeper insight into Epstein’s network and crimes.
Rep. Robert Garcia, the committee’s top Democrat, said the material helps reveal “the full picture of Epstein’s horrific crimes,” calling the images a disturbing but necessary step in uncovering the truth.
This remains a developing story as the anticipated release of the so-called “Epstein files” could happen soon.
