Holiday Fun in Indio: Night Ride, Ugly Sweater Contest & Christmas Tree Shopping

Holiday festivities are in full swing at Magic of Lights in Indio, where visitors can enjoy a bicycle night ride, an ugly sweater contest, and even shop for fresh Christmas trees. Santa and Mrs. Claus joined the fun as crowds browsed rows of Douglas and Noble firs, ranging from tabletop sizes to towering 15-foot trees.

Jed from Santa’s Wonderland says the trees come straight from Oregon and include free delivery within Indio. Prices range from about $45 for smaller trees to around $750 for the largest commercial-sized firs.

The evening also brought perfect weather, with clear skies and temperatures in the low 70s, ideal for holiday activities. And for sky-watchers, the last supermoon of the year was visible overhead, adding to the festive atmosphere.
