La Quinta Hosts Emergency Response Workshop for Residents

La Quinta is inviting community members to take part in an upcoming emergency response workshop focused on preparedness and lifesaving skills.

The three-day training will help residents learn what to do during a crisis, including how to organize response teams, conduct basic search and rescue, and perform disaster medical operations. City leaders say the workshop also serves as recruitment for La Quinta’s Community Emergency Response Team, which plays a key role in aiding first responders during large-scale emergencies.

The workshop is scheduled for December 12 through December 14 at La Quinta City Hall. Residents can choose to attend on any of the select dates, and organizers are encouraging people of all experience levels to participate.

City officials say building a trained and prepared community is essential to responding quickly and safely when disaster strikes.
