Pet of the Week: Meet Surprise

Valerie Kattz from Animal Samaritans joined us this week with an adorable 9-week-old Jack Russell mix puppy named Surprise. The pup earned her name after being unexpectedly born in a foster's lap—the only puppy in the litter and a complete surprise, as no one knew her mother was pregnant.

Surprise has a soft, plush coat and a sweet, playful demeanor. While she's sure to be adopted quickly, Kattz reminds potential adopters that puppies require time and commitment for training, including potty training and teaching appropriate chewing habits.

Upcoming Animal Samaritans events include Yappy Hour on Thursday, December 4th from 4-6 PM at Riviera Resort and Spa, with all proceeds benefiting Animal Samaritans' life-saving programs. Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome.
