Santa and Mrs. Claus Visit NBC Palm Springs, Share Holiday Cheer and Local Stops
With the countdown to Christmas officially underway, NBC Palm Springs welcomed two very special visitors to the studio: Santa and Mrs. Claus themselves, fresh from the North Pole and taking a brief break from toy-making, list-checking, and holiday magic.
Santa says the North Pole is buzzing with excitement heading into the big day. “All the elves are busier than ever,” he shared. “We’re going to be in a great spot.”
While Santa prepares for his annual journey, Mrs. Claus keeps operations running smoothly behind the scenes. From cookie-making to reindeer care, she ensures the team stays happy and fueled for the holiday rush.
Santa also shared an important message for children and adults alike this season: kindness.
“Being kind to others is so important,” he said. “It’s universal, and it’s free. Even a simple smile can make a difference.”
As for what’s trending on Christmas wish lists? Santa says there are always a few new surprises — including Demon Hunter toys and plushies — but the classics still reign supreme: Legos, Barbies, and yes… the much-loved Barbie Dreamhouse.
Families across the Coachella Valley will have multiple opportunities to see Santa and Mrs. Claus over the next week:
• Saturday — Old Town Artisan Studios in La Quinta, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
• Sunday — Children’s Discovery Museum for their Jingle Bell Rock event
• Tree lighting at the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway
• Thursday — A special appearance at Magic of Lights in Indio, including helping deliver the weather forecast with Pablo Alsina
“We love the Palm Springs area so much,” Santa told us. “We’re thrilled to celebrate the season with families here.”
We thank Mr. and Mrs. Claus for spreading joy across the Valley — and wish them the best as they prepare for the busiest night of the year.
