Wall Street Closes the Week Higher as Major Indexes Gain

Stocks closed out the week with gains across all three major U.S. indexes Friday at the New York Stock Exchange.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 104.05 points, finishing at 47,954.99, a rise of 0.22%. The S&P 500 Index also saw an uptick, adding 13.28 points to close at 6,870.40, up 0.19%.

Tech stocks helped drive the Nasdaq Composite higher as well. The index gained 72.99 points to end the session at 23,578.13, an increase of 0.31%.

The positive finish capped a week of steady performance for the markets as investors continued to monitor economic indicators and global financial conditions.
