Holiday Parade With Elf and Friends Lights Up Downtown Coachella

The holiday parade with Elf and Friends brought festive cheer to downtown Coachella last night, drawing families from across the city to celebrate the season together. Crowds bundled up as they waited along the route for parade floats to begin rolling through the heart of the community.

Children sat on curbs, their excitement building as parents snapped photos to capture the colorful start to an evening filled with bright lights, music, and celebration. The parade featured creative floats and performances that showcased the local spirit and holiday joy.

NBC Palm Springs reporter Brett Rosen was on the scene and spoke with one of the evening’s parade judges, Ava, who is experiencing her first year in the role. She shared her anticipation for watching the youngest participants shine.

“I’m excited to just, you know, take a look at the floats, especially for me. In my instance, it’s all the little kids, all the children, the way they have fun, all the practice they have done and sort of just be able to see them on the floor and, you know, just enjoying it with them as well,” she said.

Ava, who also serves on another city’s planning commission, noted she has attended Coachella’s parades in previous years, but said this year stood out as something truly special.

From the joyful spectators to the parade performers, the event marked another memorable chapter in Coachella’s holiday tradition.
