Barton CPA Launches Holiday Food Drive to Support Desert LGBTQ+ Community Center
Barton CPA is collecting donations for The LGBTQ+ Community Center of the Desert's food bank through December 18, as local demand for food assistance increases during the holiday season.
The accounting firm is accepting non-perishable food items, including pet food, at its Palm Springs and Palm Desert offices. Financial contributions will be used to purchase fresh produce and proteins for the center's food programs.
Holiday expenses and seasonal economic slowdowns typically strain food bank resources during winter months, when many families face difficult choices between meals and other essential needs.
Barton CPA will host a "Pack the Pantry" collection event on December 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at its Palm Springs location, 787 N. Palm Canyon Drive. The firm aims to deliver its largest holiday donation to date.
Priority items include canned proteins such as tuna, chicken and beans; nut butters; shelf-stable milk; rice and pasta; canned fruits and vegetables; and hygiene products. All contributions go directly to The Center's community food programs.
